JENNY YOU

Why hello. I'm Jenny You. I'm a 22-year-old reporter and producer who loves the simple life and taking walks with my pup Kiwi. I've got an old soul and young heart. I love snapping photos, spending time in my kitchen, dream about the 40s & 50s, strive on fashion and enjoy a little vinyl and pianoforte. I started jennyunbiyou[dot]com two years ago to share my thoughts, adventures, recipes, DIYs, trends, etc. You can follow me on Twitter to find out what's going on in this crazy place we call earth. Thanks for stopping by!

Hello friends! Christmas is in the air! It’s my absolute fave time of the year hands down. We’re starting to see more of the twinkle lights and wreaths, hear more holiday tunes and smell those delicious treats. So just for funzies, I wanted to share with you my wishlist which is made up of shameless wants & needs.

This violet ruffle duvet from UO is dreamy and will send me straight to dreamland. Perfect for a cold wintry night this year.

To go under the ruffle duvet…silky satin sheets. Mmhmm. Enough said.

I’m obsessed with cake pops but sick of rolling a hundred of those little balls by hand. Shortcut anyone?…with this cake pop baller?

For just a little extra inspiration, Bakerella’s book Cake Pops.

I know…I can’t believe I don’t have one either. I think I’ve had this one in the Tiffany blue shade on my list year after year. Essential to every dessert lover out there. I’d be in tears of joy if this one was under my tree, guaranteed.

This turqoise typewriter brings you back to the days of typing Christmas letters to your friends and family for the holidays…right? I just love going into Eclectica on Grand on my weekends to shuffle through their box of letters from the 1900-something years that are all typewritten. Love this typewriter from Etsy! I’d send letters to everyone with this. Too fun.

Every girl deserves a little something something from Tiffany’s. Especially a pretty fashion ring like this one. I love stopping into Tiff’s when I’m near one. As Holly Golightly says: What I’ve found does the most good is just to get into a taxi and go to Tiffany’s.  It calms me down right away, the quietness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there.

Have a Very She & Him Christmas. Probably one of the coolest holiday albums out there AND they have it in vinyl!!!! I can just imagine drinking some hot apple cider while baking my holiday cake pops and cookies while listening to She & Him this year. Love!

I think my obsession with Boo has gone over the top. I want this book. I feel that it would make me happy just flipping through Boo’s adorable photos every single day! I want Boo :( Where can I get one?

Every 9 seconds, a woman in the U.S. either experiences domestic violence or is assaulted. It’s the leading cause of injury to women far beyond car crashes, fires, disasters, etc. That’s why one of my Xmas wishes is for women to always have a safe haven to turn to, like Bolton Refuge in Eau Claire and other areas in Western WI. They have an emergency shelter, counseling, transitional housing, legal advocacy, etc. Donate here. They’re good people.

If you’re from the Twin Cities, you’ve probably heard of this organization. It’s a Christian org with a good cause. They feed thousands of children and adults everyday all across the globe. You can go to Feed My Starving Children yourself and check it out and volunteer, pack a meal or donate. What better way to serve than to serve the hungry who have no choice in the situation they’re placed in. Find out more here.

My #1 Christmas wish…to have Kiwi with me again. My apartment unit doesn’t allow pups (except the ones that were grandfathered in from when they were allowed). I’ve been miserable without her. I know it’s probably impossible but it’s still on the wishlist. She’s at my parent’s house now. Miss you my baby!

Xoxo this Christmas,
